All Beef, Lamb & Chicken available from Lettuce Deliver comes from Cleaver’s the Organic Meat Store. The meat we sell is CERTIFIED ORGANIC by an Australian Certification body – the meat is reared on Australian land with animal welfare of the utmost importance (see Certifications). Our meat is carefully cut and packed by Robert at Cleaver’s who understands the level of quality we expect at Lettuce. Robert cuts our meat personally with the respect, love and care we would expect to see when organic meat is prepared for sale.
The Beef, Lamb & Chicken are delivered to you frozen. Beef and Lamb are delivered in cryvac pack, most cuts are available by the 500gm pack. Whole Chickens range from 1.5kg – 2.00kg. Breasts (double breast) in a pack ranges from 0.40gm – 0.60gm. Thigh fillets (4 per pack) weigh approx. 0.50gm. Wings, Wingettes and Mince also come to us in around 0.500gm packs. To minimize even further the unlikely case of meat defrosting, we suggest 2 packs purchase at a time or 1 pack to then put in the fridge rather than transfer to freezer. Cryvaced Certified Organic Meat can safely be kept in the fridge for at least a week. Chicken can be refrigerated for no more than 3 days unless stored out of packet and marinated straight away. Marinated chicken should be consumed in no more than 5 days.All cuts can remain frozen for u to 6 months
